As the Director and founder of EQuIS, Dr. Brindle oversees strategic planning activities, ensuring that the vision of EQuIS is maintained and defining the short and long-term growth strategy for EQuIS, as well as leading the development of strategies to address the challenges and opportunities facing the program. Her leadership has secured partnerships with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Ariadne Labs at the Harvard School of Public Health, and the Canadian Patient Safety Institute. Dr. Brindle works with national and international agencies and stakeholders to develop point-of-care tools for surgical safety. She also leads the international ERAS neonatal abdominal surgery team, and sits on the steering committee of the Canadian Pediatric Surgery Network and the Canadian Association for Pediatric Surgery research program.
